Following the script as written by our Pool partipants, UNC went on
to slip by Illinois for the NCAA Men's Basketball Title. For
those Pool money contenders that had Illinois to win, they suffered
the agony of yet another comeback by the Illini, only to see them
fizzle at the end. $2k worth of heartbreak. And if we
thought you deserved it in the first place, we might feel for
you. But you didn't, so we don't. You're one of us now,
one of the long list of people who have never sniffed the jock-strap
of victory...
And hey, Dick Vitale. Keep your picks to yourself next
year. Idiot.

Why is this tentative? Because we still haven't
received all the cash. We know it's out there, we just don't
know where it is. We have accounted for $1870 and we're
waiting on a few stragglers who passed their money to someone
upstream of us. In short, we only pay out what we receive, no
more, no less. Final accounting is now underway.
